Deleting your account
You can delete your BeanThere account yourself in the app, or ask us to do it. Either way everything goes, including any beans you have saved up.
In the app
- Open BeanThere and sign in.
- Tap Settings, then Account Settings.
- Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
By email
Email info@beanthere.uk from the address you signed up with, asking us to delete your account. We will do it within 30 days and email you when it is done.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in account, so the email and password stop working.
- Your name, email address and birthday.
- Your bean balance and the record of drinks you redeemed.
What lingers briefly
- Database backups, for about a week, after which the deleted account is gone from those too.
- Records at our email provider that a sign-up or reset email was sent, for about 45 days.
Starting again
You are welcome back any time: sign up again with the same email address. Beans from the deleted account cannot be restored, so it is worth claiming a free drink first if you have ten.
